Our server is updated with cPanel version 58.0.32 and the problem continues to ensue, despite replacing email accounts in full on server, excessive overheads applied to email accounts, etc.

Could you verify if the system uses CloudLinux? If so, check to ensure the account isn't at it's inode limit:
