I have a server using mbox format with more than 1000 accounts and I setup a new server with maildir format.
I want to transfer some accounts that are in the server with mbox format to the new one with maildir format.
So if I use the account transfer function at WHM it will convert to maildir automatically?? And what happens if I copy the backup tar file of one of the sites, upload it to the backup folder at the new server and then restore the backup in the new server, it will do the maidir conversion too?

Which one of this two methods is the quickest??

    Thanks

You first transfer the accounts. If the mail accounts are not converted into the maildir, you can convert it in the following manner.

    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mb2md/mb2md -s /home/username/mail/domainname.com/accountname -d /home/username/mail/domainame.com/
