Mailing list doesn't seem to be receiving emails .. did I miss a step?

    I am setting up a mailing list for the first time and using video tutorial I follow the step to creating one example list name "Test" so I firgured my list email address will be test@mydomain.com.

    I sent a couple of emails to test@mydomain.com address and email never arrived to the List archive page. Did I miss a step?

    Am I suppose to create an email account with test username too?

    You don't need to create an email with that username as well. The email address you emailed the list from, is that address on the mailing list?

    All I did was create a mailing list then went to the page and subcribe it adding my email to it but I never got a confirmation emai. Even the email I subscribed did not show up in the admin panel Membership Management. But I did get sent to a webpage stating that I would get an confirmation email etc etc after submitting.

    Also I manually subscribed an email via admin panel adding it using Member Managerment and sent an email to that list but it never showed up on the list archive.

    I know it an old post but I forgot to post a solution to this for anyone whom may be looking for one.

    On mine for some reason the mailman was not running so we fixed it by starting mailman.

    mine is not sending out do you know what that could be
