Mailman archive is not private.. Why?

    One of our customers with large amount of mailing lists has discovered, that private messages from their mailing lists are found on google. as a quick solution I have placed simple .htaccess file
    Code:
    Order Allow,Deny
    Deny from all
    to every his mailman archive folder (under /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/archives/private/). This blocks access. But when client will create new mailing list, those archives might not be protected. Am I missing some configuration in mailman? Is it possible to block access in a different way?
