    Hi

Our paragliding club has a webhosting setup using cpanel.
We are using the mailman mailing list service to attempt to run a mailing list to all our users.

Most mails are going out - but randomly mails are going missing.
all mail apears in the mailman archive.
all mail info is sent out in digest mode.

we have been getting a large amount of bounced message count on most accounts withing mailman.

we have about 270 addresses on the list. my feeling is that the mailgateway/mta struggles to cope with mailman firing all the messages at it - it bounces messages back to mailman which then increases that users bounce count. eventually locking them out.

as the server is using cpanel - I can't seem to see any log files...

has anyone seen this issue before or has any suggestions as to how I can resolve/help my isp resolve the issue?

    cheers

    jamie

    A few quick things:

    Mailman logs are at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/logs

Set Mailman to send all messages individually, called personalize.

They you can track each message as it is handed off from Mailman to Exim.

    How do you "personalize" Mailman

How do you set Mailman to send individual messages and how do you customize the messages? (e.g., How do you include the email address the message was sent to in the footer of each message?)

Other than bandwidth, are there any other concerns that should be considered when doing this?

Also, can this be done on a list-by-list basis or does it have to be enabled for all lists on the server?

Still wondering how to "personalize" Mailman

Well, TechGuy, I've not seen an answer to the question yet. If you learn how, please post the answer here.
