Mailman not sending out to non-local addresses

Have been using GNU Mailman for over ten years with very few problems. In recent weeks we found that we keep getting errors like:

Rejected relay attempt: '::1' From: '[email protected]' To: '[email protected]'

If the receipient is a local address, even a forwarding one, it works.

Somebody suggested that having IPv6 enabled might cause problems, so I have now disabled that, but the problem seems persistent.

Using MM version 2.1.23.

Thanks for reply. I have not customized Exim myself, though I have not studied the config in detail to see what is there.

To update, it was determined this likely relates to the use of a custom kernel. Our Support team advised switching to the stock CentOS kernel to see if the issue persists.

This is now back in the hands of Memset Ltd, as it was their Xen virtualization kernel that was failing. Because it is a virtual server they cannot simply use the stock CentOS one. They now have a new kernel which they propose testing on my server next week. Will report back.
