I hope I can piggy back on this thread. I too am having a similar problem, but I'm getting a page failed to load error.

My newest server can no longer load the MailMan admin page. On an older server, it still works.

When I click on the Mailing List's Manage link, there seems to be a series of redirects and each server stops at a different page. The first example is a newer server and doesn't work, and the second example is on an older server, which still works.

I've restarted mailman, apache, and then the entire server, and still cannot gain access to the MailMan admin page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a client that desparately needs to gain access

Thank you,

Mark

@ISMark - sorry to hear about those issues!

When the redirect happens, does anything load on the page at all? Do you actually get to a login prompt or does nothing show up?

I'd recommend watching the cPanel error logs with this command while you try and load mailman to see if that gives you any more details:

Code:
tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log

Yes, a new page shows up for a little bit that says Auto Login with a Login button. When clicking the button the link in the address bar changes, but the page doesn't load and eventually times out.

There were no errors logged from watching: tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log

This almost sounds like a bad password error, as it shouldn't take you to a login page in the first place. Can you try resetting the cPanel user's password from WHM to see if that resolves the issue? If not, feel free to submit a ticket to our team using the link in my signature so we can get some more details on this. If you do submit a ticket, post the number here so I can follow along and post the resolution to share with the community.

Changing the password did the trick!.

Do you know where he MailMan subscriber email addresses are stored on the server? I now need to restore the mailing list from a previous backup.

I'm glad the password change got things working for you! It seems when those get out of sync, weird things start to happen and can affect mailman, PHPMyAdmin - all those services that need a redirect to get handled so you don't have to log in again.

The actual mailing lists are stored in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/lists/$MAILINGLIST/, and we have a great page on the Mailman structure with some tips here that you might find valuable:
