    Hello,

I am using the mailman mailing list.

    i have two questions.

    1. if i test my mailing list with just few sample email id's the email goes.
but if i put all my 19000 subscriber emails, the mail did not go. y is that?
so i had to deliver in 5000 chunks. i send the first chunk and seems the mails have sent. so y cant send all 19000 emails at onece? i am hosted at godaddy shared hosting.

    2. A serious question. in the newsletter i send, the mailing list url appear at the bottom. when click, all the mailing list information can be seen by the user. for example, to post a message to all members, send the mail to this email id xxxx@xxxx.com like. so this will make big problem, a user can simply send a mail to all my subscribers. so how to prevent users from posting to my list members?

    tx

    1. It is more than possible that this problem is relative to godaddy. My guess is that they fixed a limit on the amount of mails a user can send. Since you dont have any acces to the server settings, your first step is to see with them what is the issue.

By the way, 19000 emails is a very large mailing list...

Go to : Non-digest option -> "Footer added to mail sent to regular list members"

You probably have a default footer with these infos writtent there.

You can do the same in "digest option" -> "Footer added to every digest"

To prevent the messages from a user to be automatically sent to all the users :

go to : Membreship Management, at the bottom of the page "Additional Member Tasks"... Then "Set everyone's moderation bit, including those members not currently visible"... Click the "on" radio button and then "SET"...

All the messages sent to the list will be moderated, i.e. not sent to the list unless you approve it.

I recommend you contact your hosting provider regarding this issue so they can explain their configuration of their mail servers to you.

This can be done by editing the options for the mailing list. In your cPanel interface, in the Mail section click on Mailing Lists. Then next to the name of your mailing list, click the "Modify" link. Proceed to login.

To hold all posts for moderation, under [General Options] set "Emergency moderation of all list traffic" to yes to prevent mailing list members from sending messages to all members of a list without moderator approval.

    Thank you all,

Yes i can remember godaddy has sad once that only 1000 mails per hour is possible in shared. but i have heard from the diffrent sources that using a mailing list will not limit this numbers.
so look like false information i got

any way, ill once again contact them.
