    I'm getting this error when tring to start mailman:

    File "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner", line 75, in ?
    import paths
    File "bin/paths.py", line 55, in ?
    import japanese
    File "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/pythonlib/japanese/__init__.py", line 5, in ?
    import aliases
    File "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/pythonlib/japanese/aliases/__init__.py", line 4, in ?
    import encodings.aliases
    File "/usr/local/lib/python2.2/encodings/__init__.py", line 31, in ?
    import codecs,aliases,exceptions
    File "/usr/local/lib/python2.2/codecs.py", line 17, in ?
    raise SystemError,\
    SystemError: Failed to load the builtin codecs: /usr/local/lib/python2.2/lib-dynload/_codecs.so: undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS2_FromUnicode

    i'm with cpanel 7.2.1-S78. It's that a cpanel bug or my bad?

    Thanks

    news: problems solved when I removed /usr/local/lib/python2.2 and was left with /usr/lib/python2.2

    and btw, if anyone have problems and thinking of running /scripts/fixmailman, then *DONT*, specialy if you dont have a /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/qfiles/out dir, or the files in your pwd will be deleted

    This error you are getting is likely because of a malformed email address in one of your mailing lists.

    It is a *major* pain, but it would be wise to go through the list of subscribers and make sure there are no funny characters in any of the addresses.

    Anyway, we had an identical problem as this about a year ago and this fixed it for us. Good luck!
