mailscanner and exchange server

    Hi all,

    has anybody managed to integrate MailScanner and MS Exchange server? One of our clients is having his email sent to his own Exchange Server (using MX record). MailScanner doesn't seem to be filtering these emails.

    Is there a way to have MailScanner check the emails going to external mail server?

    Thanks!

    You can't.

    MailScanner is for *nix (*bsd) servers only running one of:
    Sendmail
    Exim
    Postfix
    ZMailer

    The only way would be as mentioned in the last post, but that's just basically having it installed on a *nix box as a mail proxy running one of the above MTAs which then forwards to Exchange.

    Having said that. They could have their email delivered to a catchall account on your server and then using something like EFS (below) to retrieve it on their Windoze box which POPs their account and forwards it into the Exchange SMTP server:
