MailScanner - how to install??

    What configuration needs to be done for MailScanner on a cPanel system..

    I think I'm losing some emails....

    Did you install it from layer1? If so, no additional configuration is required.

    hmm - but now that would probably mean it's not mailscanner that's losing my mail..

    for instance - I send mail to a client. He doesn't receive any mail sent from my domain. And I don't get any errors.

    Then renaxsolutions tried to send me mail - I never got it. And they never received errors....

    Exim maybe?

    You had stated in another thread that Exim is not showing as running? Could this be related?

    I believe there is an uninstall script that comes with the mailscanner from layer1. You may want to try and uninstall it using that and see if your problem goes away.

    Did you chattr +i your exim.conf per another howto for some reason?

    I did?....I don't remember that...

    exim has been running fine. Never chatt-whatever - don't even know what that does. :(

    But yes I'll check for that uninstall and see if the problem goes away.
