MailScanner not tagging {Spam} anymore?

We upgrading cPanel a couple of weeks ago when the security flaw was announced. Currently we run WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R34. Customers are stating that MailScanner isn't reporting spam anymore. Anyone else run into this issue and have a fix for it?

Try running "spamassassin --lint" from your SSH prompt

If "spamassassin --lint" shows anything wrong then you can go into
/etc/mail/spamassassin and fix whatever it lists.

We had a similiar problem and it turned out that cpanel had upgraded
spamassassin and the new version didn't support some of the older
rules that we had previously overridden.

It could also mean mailscanner isn't running. Try service mailscanner restart in shell.
