    Helllo all,

We are faced with a difficult situation.

Earlier this month spam messages originated from our server since one of our client's computer infected with spyware and that sent spam through our server. Event thought the spammers were traced and the problem solved, the server base IP got blacklisted. Now the server IP has been whitelisted by everyone as per our request.
But the issue is that yahoo, hotmail, rediffmail, gmail all have blocked our server base IP in their internal filter and all the mails send from account on the server is getting delivered to the junkbox/spambox/ bulkmail folders with the accounts on the said mail service providers.

To solve the issue we have gone ahead with changing the mail server IP to a new one as per the posting in
    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=17089&highlight=interface+exim
    http://www.exim.org/exim-html-4.40/doc/html/spec_30.html#IX2184

But still the mail headers shows the server base IP. So this is not working.

So to solve the issue we are planning to change the server base IP to a new one to solve the issue.

The problem is that this server is a part (client) of DNS cluster.

Cpanel forum postings are not at all complete and we cannot risk any downtime / issues due to this as clients are already worried due to the present issues.

We want your expert advice on what all aspects to be looked after in order to change the base IP of the server with a new one. Server is a freebsd server.

    Thanks
    Sadique
