I have a number of IP addresses assigned to my server, and by default the main shared virtual host ip was set to the main server ip. I wanted to change the ip address of virtual hosts, and Cpanel saved the changes, but even after doing a complete server reboot it's still adding virtual hosts as the main server ip rather than the ip address I put in the server setup. Is it not possible to change the virtual host ip or is there something esle I need to do?

I dont think Cpanel has provision for keeping a separate IP other than the main server IP to be the shared IP. They did not have this atleast until two weeks back.

    Regards:)

    edit /var/cpanel/mainips/root

Put the desired IP address for creating shared IP accounts in that file.
