Looking for some advice. Not sure if I need to use a different ruleset or quite what to do or just ignore it as is over my head.
My nightly update is giving me this message: Maintenance ended; however, it did not exit cleanly (256). The following events were logged: “scripts/modsec_vendor
I am running centos v7.9.2009 cpanel version 106.0.14
I have these rules running in modsecurity:
COMODO ModSecurity Apache Rule Set COMODO ModSecurity Rules for Apache Third Party
ConfigServer ConfigServer cXs ModSecurity rule
This is in the update log:
[/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/modsec_vendor] The system failed to update the vendor from the URL “https://waf.comodo.com/doc/meta_comodo_apache.yaml”: The vendor metadata does not contain an entry for your version of ModSecurity, “2.9.6”. The only versions of ModSecurity this rule set supports are “2.7.5”, “2.7.7”, “2.8.0”, “2.9.0”, “2.9.1”, “2.9.2”, and “2.9.3”.
