My server just got comprimised and I managed to savage the data and have the drive mounted. However, I am unsure how to get the cpanel configuration and all of the cpanel files back on. The old OS was RH9 and this is now RHE3. Aside from copying /home, what do I need to do to get cpanel running back to its previous state?

Do I install cpanel first? Is this fail-safe?

Install WHM/Cpanel and then make sure Server settings are correct for it. Presuming your drive with the salvaged data is the backup drive and depending upon the format is it in, you might be able to get away with using:

    Backup > Restore Multiple Backups

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
