For whatever reason, no longer creates the "/public_html" directory structure
for new accounts which effectively renders any new accounts created totally
useless until someone manually creates a "/public_html" folder.

This started happening on May 18th following a Cpanel EDGE update.
I have already tried forcing an update roll back to RELEASE but didn't
help and still not creating the directories on new accounts.

Both WHM and Script based account creation functions are broken the same ....

Looking at the directory for the new account reveals that none
of the necessary folders such as public_html were created ...
Looking at the skeleton directory for the reseller and everything is fine ...
Looking at the httpd.conf and again everything is fine ....
If I check /var/named, I can confirm the DNS was created and /etc/passwd confirms
that the username was indeed created but nothing is in the account at all!

I have tried creating accounts from several different reseller accounts and also
from root with the same results. I have tried creating accounts from both WHM directly
and from command line shell scripts and again the same results.

Anyone have any idea why it's not putting anything in the root folder for any new accounts?

Again, this started around May 18th.

Oh this gets even wierder ....

Investigating this issue further, I found out that all new accounts are configured
with "Unlimited" bandwidth irregardless of the bandwidth that I configure when
the account is created or what account plan is selected!

Upgrade / Downgrade has no effect on bandwidth setting ....

Remains as UNLIMITED bandwidth no matter what!

Meanwhile, it would appear the new created account has no disk quota setup ....
(I manually created a public_html folder for the new account and tried to chmod to owner)
Again, any ideas what in the world is going on?

I generally am the one to be able to solve any Cpanel problem even when
Cpanel programmers themselves can't figure out a problem and this one
has me stumped for the moment.

(PS: Disk space on the server is perfectly fine)

Thanks for posting your solution. Why ask a question and solve it if you cant post your solutions?

    Same problem here

    Hi there,

I'm having the exact same problem and still can't figure out how to fix it. Can anyone shed some light here? I already tried running the quotas fix script but it didn't solve anything.

    Thanks in advance!
