I have tried many things to cut down the spam at the server level that it is very sick.

I have enabled ClamAV, SpamAssassin and using SPF on all domains hosted through my servers. I was going to use mail scanner but I read it is no longer supported for cPanel 11.25.0-R43286 - WHM 11.25.0 - X 3.9.

I have followed the Exim configuration that is listed cPanels help section and even started to blacklist IP's of the spammers.

I have read a ton of threads here in cPanel and elsewhere on ways to cut down spam.

So I request any ideas that really works at the server level and not at the users email client side.

Not sure where you read that MailScanner is no longer supported as we are using it with 11.25.0 C43286.

Have you tried enabling RBL Blocking in WHM > Service Configuration > Exim Configuration Editor?

SpamAssassinTM: Maximum size a message can be before it will not be scanned by SpamAssassin Set to default 200
The user settings are set to 5 spamassassin

RBL: bl.spamcop.net
bl.spamcop.net RBL.
These are enabled

Which is better ClamAV or Mailscanner?

Clam (as a daemon) can run in conjunction with MS.

If you decide to use MS be aware that it can be resource intensive unless properly tuned for your environment.

Might suggest you also enable the RBL for zen.spamhaus.org.

Another option that users recommend is ASSP. You can search on this forum for a thread that outlines setup and usage.

The most useful feature of cpanel and mail, tbh those wordpress can be easily hosted on a difference server but yet, we still gotta deal with mail spam, the settings doesn't help, it might make legit email go into junk for real.
