An installation of Joomla is requirign that /home/tmpspace be writeable by user accounts Is there a place in the WHM to enable this? If not what would be the procedure to allow accounts to access this tmp area.

You could set the sticky bit on it like /tmp uses, which allows all users to write to the folder but only to actually modify their own files and folders they own in that folder:

    Code:
    chmod 1777 /home/tmpspace
If this is a shared folder that is going to be accessed by multiple different cPanel accounts, this is probably the way to go for that folder. I'd be a bit concerned about it having an exec privileges though and would try to mount and secure the folder with nonexec on it.

hm.. Quite strange Joomla-request! Anyway, I don't think this is a good idea. Sorry, if considered as offtopic.
