malet LMD query

    I have put my server scan using the command
    maldet --scan-all /home?/?/public_html &

    & click on close button, now how to check how may files scanned ??? & what maldet is currently doing ??

    If you background a process (by using "&" at the end), then close your terminal, you would need to log back into the server and check the process list to see if it's still running.

    Howdy,

    You might also try running it within a screen and detaching the screen. (if you ever wanted to reattach and see what it was up to)

    is maldet still running or stopped ??

    I put the server scan on 07th Sept 2011 3:49 PM & i got email on 12th Sept 2011 3:30 PM. this process took 120 hours to finish this task. Is it possible guys ??

    find below our server info & let me know if the requirements are ok

    Processor Information
    Current Memory Usage
    Current Disk Usage

    /dev/sda7 191G 86G 96G 48% /home
    you have accounts as i see
    the requirements are ok doesnt need 8 cores that thing in order to run.
    which commands are you using
    maldet -a /home?/?/public_html
    scan for specific user
    maldet --scan-all /home?/USER/public_html
    ?
    thats been a long time mate 5 days for scanning
    you should fire a command for monitor process
    on my boxes that thing is crashing some times and filling the /root with core dump files and i am running out of space
