I have mambo installed on my server through the WHM and it says it is the current version of 4.5.1a being installed for the cpanel users but it is really installing 4.5.109 an earlier version by about 6 months... Will this auto upadate in the whm or is there something we need to do?

    Hi lordkinjo,

The MamboOpenSource installer is updated to 4.5.1a. You can verify this by looking in the root of where you installed your script for the changelog file.

In this file you will see the line:

    -------------------- 4.5.1a Stable Released ----------------------

    Thank you.

Yes but if you install it on a clients cpanel it will install 4.5.109. It is listed as 4.5.1a but is not correct. Ihave installed this manually from the mambo site and it is not the current stable version being installed.... Try it on your site.. then check the credits of the mambo it just installed...it will say 4.5.109 stable. Plus it is a totally different admin interface and could not be confused with the current version.. Does anyone else see this??

I just tried it again on one of my domains and it installed. 4.5 Stable-1.0.9 [Spider] 28/06/2004 16:51 GMT

Even though it says it is installing the current version.

well package the newest version on mambo, and put that new package in place of the old package

    EDITED:

you can also do this to add your own packages to cpanel

unfortunatly, you cannot do this in WHM, it is done in Shell:

    Code:
    cd /usr/local/cpanel/addons
if you type that into shell you will see a list of folder names same as that of the addon scripts (eg mambo). Just explore there and you will figure it out :-p , send me a msg on aim if you still have trouble.
