    Hello,

    I am trying to reduce the time for email messages to sit in the queue. I think is setup for 7 days. I want to reduce it to 2d.

    I tried to add this to the exim.conf file:
    timeout_frozen_after = 2d

    but it did not work.

    thanks for your help

    Carlos

    edit the exim.conf file /etc/exim.conf

    You will see a line at the VERY BOTTOM:
    * * F,2h,15m; G,16h,1h,1.5; F,4d,8h

    Change the last 2 values:
    * * F,2h,15m; G,16h,1h,1.5; F,2d,1m

    I changed mine from 4days 8 hours, to 2 days and 1 minute.

    Restart exim after you're done and anything in the queue over 2 days and 1 minute, will either deliver or bounce.

    Make a backup before you make this change. If you want to keep your change, chattr +i /etc/exim.conf

    Thanks,
    Scott
