    Hey everyone,
I am building a php site hosted by hostgator and i want to be able to have some of my php scripts manage the email mailboxes, like forwarding, creating/deleting mailboxes, ect. I have not been able to find ways of doing this by google searching or looking in the knowledge base. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Scott Tucker

Do you have access to the WHM interface, or do you only have access to the cPanel interface? If you have access to the WHM interface, that would allow you to use our APIs to handle that for you.

Typically if you do not know if you have access to WHM, you don't. However, attempt to use your cPanel user credentials in the HTTP Authentication pop up for Example.com/whm where Example.com is your domain. If you cannot gain access to the WHM interface that way, then you probably do not have access to WHM.

Some PHP coders have created kludges to get around such limitations. Their implementations aren't great, but seem to work for most people for now. Just do an internet search, there seems to be many pre-existing scripts for this purpose.
