In WHM, I've used Manage Service SSL Certificates to install an InCommon certificate for cPanel services. This worked perfectly. Then I tried to do exactly the same for Exim and Dovecot services. That seemed to go well, but mail clients still get an "untrusted" warning. If I issue these two commands:

    openssl s_client -showcerts -connect our.domain.edu:2087
    openssl s_client -showcerts -connect our.domain.edu:993

The first one returns identifiable certificate info, while the second returns lots of "Unknowns".

I've tried installing it both by pasting the .cer file into the top box, and by pasting the whole bundle into the bottom box. Either way, it finds the domain OK and appears to be installed OK. The Manage Service SSL Certificates page shows all certs installed correctly (i.e. all properly display our street address).

Any idea what's going on or how to fix this? Thanks.

    Hello shacker23,

Could you please try restarting the applicable services?

    Code:
    /etc/init.d/cpanel restart
    /etc/init.d/exim restart
    /scripts/restartsrv_imap
If it still does not work after doing the above, please submit a ticket. Something has likely not properly set in /var/cpanel/ssl location for these service certificates.

    Thanks!

Bingo! Restarting cpanel did the trick. Not sure whether that would qualify as a bug, but thanks very much!
