I've never been able to figure this out, can someone give me some insight as to what's happening?

Sometimes I like to manually update stats for an account via
    /scripts/runweblogs username

there is about a 50/50 chance it will go through.
many times it just hangs on
    Update status for /var/cpanel/bandwidth/username-all.rrd: (1967)

    and just stops there. Forever.

Note that sometimes it works fine. I've let it sit for over an hour when it stalls but no change.

This can happen even just minutes after the automatic stats update runs, so it's not a matter of backlog.

    Thanks for any ideas!

What is the CPU usage like? What are the black hours set to in /etc/stats.conf?

Stats will not run when the load is too high and if your black hours include too many hours, they may not finish processing in time.
