Hi,

How can i transfer an Email account from Directadmin to cPanel manually?

Do I need to create new mail accounts on cPanel and after that copy paste the maildir files?

As i know , cPanel stores email account data in :

/home/user/mail

and store accounts password in

/home/user/etc

Directadmin stores email account data in :

/home/user/maildir
/home/user/imap

and stores email accounts password in

/etc/virtual/domain.com/passwd

I think it is not possible to hold the exiting password

Hello @RedFireDog,

Yes, it is possible to manually transfer an email account account to cPanel as long as you have access to the account on the DA server. I recommend using the method you suggested, creating the account on the cPanel server and then manually copying over the data. This document lists the email paths you will need to know for cPanel:

How to Manually Migrate Accounts to cPanel from Unsupported Control Panels - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
