manual update?

    how do I manually update to cpanel 8.5.4 release7

    I don't want release72 because of the problems I had with it. and I don't wan to go edge.

    is it possible to update to release 7 ?

    Just go into whm and change your update preference to manual-release and then run upcp and you'll be downgraded to the latested release build.

    I think the problem is, he doesn't want to go to the most recent release. He wants to go to an older one.

    No way to do taht that I know of. You could ratchet it back to stable which might take you back far enough.
