Manually updating Munin

WHM currently has Munin version 1.2.4 which is 5 years old! There are areadly feature request to update Munin, but this is not a feature request.

Is it possiblt to manually update Munin from 1.2.4 to 1.4.5

Sorry for bumping, but does anyone know if it is possible without cPanel overwriting it with every update?

After looking at several forums, I guess it is not possible to manually update Munin from the the current 5+ year old version included in cPanel.
