Dear,

Is it safe to upgrade newer MariaDB 10.1 or 10.2? I don't want site own database to be corrupted.
Please click the checkbox next to each warning to indicate that you understand the potential consequences of this upgrade.

System Specific Warnings
Severity
Message:
1. Normal The selected MariaDB version is more than one generation newer than the currently installed version. The upgrade process will iterate over each intervening version to ensure tables are upgraded appropriately.

General Warnings
Severity
Message:
1. Normal Although in-place upgrades are generally safe, you should always perform a full database backup before you begin the upgrade process.

2. Normal Please note that downgrades to previous versions are unsupported. After you upgrade your system to a newer version, it may be impossible to switch back.
I'm still used MariaDB 10.0

Thank you.

Yes it is very safe, but with any upgrade to MySQL its always a good idea to perform a backup of all your databases just in case.

There is no way to 'downgrade' no, you would want to remove all related rpm's and reinstall 10.0 manually.

I've used the MariaDB upgrade in WHM 100's of times and its never failed.

If you are running 11.66 then you can upgrade to 10.2 otherwise 10.1 is the highest in 11.64.

If you are running 11.66 then definitely go for 10.2.
