Has anyone noticed that in CPanel 11 with maildir, you can now login to the main domain account and access all of the accounts in that domain ?

We used to be able to do that with Horde, but then it was "fixed", but now it is an official feature!

Just go into the main account on SquirrelMail (or any imap client), go to folder subscriptions, and subscribe to all the accounts you want to access from the list. They will all be kept in their separate folders.

Thanks for pointing this out! Several clients complained when this feature was lost and I had to setup links to "restore" this feature.

I also like the ease of checking multiple email boxes from one screen, so this is a welcomed feature.

Now to remove my dead links....

This won't go past the inbox by default, but you could easily setup links for the subfolders just like cpanel does for the inbox.

Hmmm, I never noticed that. Maybe we can implement this for you.

What cpanel version is supporting this feature? I'm running the latest release and I'm not able to see or even subscribe to folders of other mail accounts.

    I'm on:

    WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.6.0-R15076
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

I really appreciate having this feature back!

Can any cPanel personnel confirm that this "feature" is going to stay?

I know there are a lot of people that wanted this feature and perhaps I am in the minority, but I would prefer that it be off. We had just gotten across to our users saying that this feature had been disabled. To me it really makes better sense. If you want to read mail in a specific mail account, you need to log into that mail account.

But again, I realize that I am probably in the minority here and I'm not asking for any changes. I'm just wanting to know if this is something that is around to stay or if it is just present now because of some other bug.

Did this feature disappear again? Personally I don't use it, but I have had several customers emailing me about not being able to see all of their email accounts under the one default user login.
This is the version I am running.
    WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.10.0-C16391
    REDHAT Enterprise 4 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
    Thanks,
    Rick

I am on the same release as you, and yes it still works.
Centos 4.5, but that shouldn't make a difference.

We also have lots of users who love this feature. I hope it is here to stay.

This is an official feature, it works fine. Even if it wasn't a feature, you could easily setup the links easily yourself.

Look at my post a few up for the link to the official instructions.

I've never used this before, but I just tried it out of curiosity and it just worked. I didn't have to enable anything. I'm using WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.10.0-R16448, CENTOS Enterprise 3.9 i686

On a server with WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-R17649 we are not able to see all the mailboxes. Om a server with WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-C17483 we have this option.

Release vs. current could be the problem?

You should be able to login to Horde as the main email for the cPanel account then see in the top-right corner of the Horde interface a drop-down for selecting other email addresses under that account.
