    Hello Forum Members,

Received this error message when attempting to import Joomla articles into an extension of Joomla called K2:

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in htdocs/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 50"

I checked the php info on the Joomla install, and noticed this:
    Configure Command: './configure' '--disable-mbregex'

Is mbregex intentionally disabled on cPanel servers? If so, is it for security purposes?

I learned that to enable it I would have to run Easy Apache.

    Thank you in advance. Cheers!
