Hi guys,

I'm a little confused here. When I check the &service status& in WHM, it usually says between 20%-30% memory used. But when I look at 'top' or phpSysInfo, they say about 95% of the server's memory is used. Which one is the correct usage? Or are they showing different things?

Thank you in advance for your replies.
;)

WHManager will show your total memory usage.... including physical memory and paging (virtual) memory. (swap)

Via the &top& command you are seeing only what physical memory you have in use. On a redhat/cpanel box, you can almost guarantee that 80/90% of your physical memory will be in use by DEFAULT with all of the services required to initially run cpanel, regardless of how many accounts are on the box.

That really won't change much unless your machine is heading into the realm of being a chaotic mess- (overloaded), then your memory usage will spill into your swap space and you'll be at 90+ % used via your &server status& in your WHM

Then you need to worry. ;)
