Migrate from one server to another

Halo,

my name Susan, I have question. I tried to move my sites to new server by copying the files in Cpanel and database to Cpanel on new server, but I get error. Do I have to use some extentions to make this easy and work?

What was the error you received? Also, was it via FTP or what method did you copy the files?

Did you use the tools in the WebHost Manager in Main >> Transfers? These are the only tools for transferring accounts between servers that we can support. How, exactly, did you try to move your sites? We will need more details about exactly what you did in order to be able to help you.

I am having issues moving my accounts as well, I used the Transfer Multiple Accounts function.

I inserted the correct shared ip adress > checked the SSH connection and I got:

Remote Server Ok: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_4.3

> authentication I select root > insert password for WHM.

Here is the error I get:


I am moving from WHM to WHM. I know I am using the right password. Also, I did successfully sftp into my new server but I could not get into my existing one. Any help on this would be amazing.

Please make sure that you used correct password for root. Also check if ssh access is enabled for root user. For security reason it can be disabled on shared servers.

Please do try taking down any firewalls you happen to have just to be certain that those firewalls aren't an issue for the connection. I realize that the SSH connection shows as working in the initial check, but it doesn't hurt to disable the firewall temporarily for testing purposes.
