migrate just emails cpanel -> cpanel

    Hi Guys

    I'm new here

    Need some help :)

    We have website that is spread across 2 servers.

    whm server1 has domain account created = website + mysql
    whm server2 has same domain account created = but just emails are stored

    No i want to migrate those emails from server2 to server1

    please help :) or point me to any other thread

    Hi Simon,

    You need to transfer the directory /home/user/mail and /home/user/etc from server2 to server1. If you have many accounts this can be done using script.

    Hello Simon,

    Please note that you should only do this if both machines run maildir with the same IMAP client (Dovecot or Courier). If you are using Dovecot on one machine and Courier on the other, or you are using mbox on the one machine (not likely but still important to consider if you were) and maildir on the other, then this isn't going to work. You must have the same configuration for both machines for IMAP and mailbox type for this to function properly to just copy the files over like that.
