this has been discussed earlier, but many threads are old and confuse.

I've a server with few hosted accounts.

as the hardware was old, i took a new server and set it up with same hostname as of existing one.

How to move accounts so they resolve from new server.
I tried packing a account from SSH and moved it to new server, restored, updated IP on OLD server using "edit dns zone" but it doesn't work cause nameservers point to OLD IP.

new server alerts [ipcheck] Problems with dns setup reports Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain.

When i try to add "A" entries it says Nameserever already points to OLD IP.

Can anyone point me to right thread or the steps to do this without having downtimes.

    My Suggestion:

Create the old nameservers on the new box with new Ip's. Transfer accounts and use the setting to point old domain to new domain when transferring. Change the nameserver IP's at your registrar. and your done.
