I currently have a website on shared hosting using eXtend control panel. I have created a full backup of my website "website.zip" and i have created a full database backup "database.sql". I'm not familiar with cpanel whm, i want to move the website to vps. I assume i should import the database into phpmyadmin in whm. How do i transfer the website files and where do i change the nameservers so the domain www.mywebsite.com points to the vps and not shared hosting?

website.zip ( if its public_html your can decompress on your local machine) and upload via FTP/SFTP to your site (cpanel user) public_html or upload the entire zip file an decompress on the server

nameservers are set at the registrar
