Here is my problem (or one of my problems):
    3 servers.
    1 WIN2K
    2 Cpanel
    3 Cpanel

I want to migrate all the domains from the WIN2K to Cpanel 2. The WIN2k hosts 10 domains, nothing special (except one has a lot of asp which is getting rescripted in php, so no worries there). The mail on that server is Imail Server.

I would like to transfer the domains to Cpanel 2, and set up the mail accounts there too.
Then on switch day, I would like to be able to copy the users mailbox files to the cpanel2 box, take the cpanel 2 harddrive out and swap it into the WIN2K box. Will this work?

Or is it better to do a fresh cpanel install on the WIN2K box, and transfer the accounts and domains some other way.

Has anyone done something like this?
    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Isn't cPANEL Linux only?

    Go on, have a guess
Indeed it is only available for *NIX OS's. cPanel is also on v10 so don't know where you're getting 2 from. Basically, you'd have to install a new OS, install cPanel and configure all your required accounts and then manually migrate any web site files into the user account.

The WIN2K box does not run cPanel, sorry of that wasn't clear. There is no domain management on it except IIS. I want to convert it to a cPanel server.
    Does that make more sense?

The migration went as well as expected.
Got a temp license and installed CentOS on a new hard drive.
Set up the accounts and whm.
Copied domain files and dns records.
Took the drive to the isp colo.
    Stopped the mail server.
Backed up all the domains, dns, and mail.
Installed new drive (kept windows drive in there as a backup).
    Fired up the server.
    Copied the mail boxes over.
    Bingo!
    No more Win2K.
    Thanks cPanel!
