The cPanel X theme was deprecated and removed years ago. We left it installed on systems that already had it. Without knowing more details about your specific server it's difficult to say what is going on.

My recommendation is you switch to X3, which even has a branding style to look like X.

Your solution is not going to last over the long term. The X theme is dead. What you have done is going to become more and more of a problem as cPanel is further updated and becomes more and more incompatible with the X theme.

If you really want the look and feel of the X theme, change the account's theme to X3. Then, in cPanel, click "Change Style" and select the X style. That is the branding style Kenneth referred to. That way, you get the look and feel of the X theme, but you are using the X3 theme that we actively develop and fully support.

Well I've done all the updates its on auto update which did not solve the issue. We just had one the other day with 3 new features added. I have custom cpanel branding with theme X which I'm not planing on upgrading as of right now and what I have done is working and a very simple solution. If it fails because of an update I can think a cron or two that will make it stick.

The X theme is deprecated and has not been kept up to date with new cPanel versions for years. It is unfortunate that you have not kept your custom branding up to date to work with the only theme that cPanel supports, but that is the state of affairs. X was not replaced with X3 overnight; both were distributed at some time until work was ended on X and eventually X was removed from new installs.

You are free to do whatever you want, including a custom cron job to keep a very outdated theme working, since after all it is your server, but for us to be able to provide support, you need to change to the X3 theme.

If you like the look and feel of X, switch to X3 and click "Change Style" in cPanel and select the X style. The X style of X3 really does look and work like the X theme.
