    I've got a few customers asking me to install Ming on my servers, and I'm wondering if anyone else here has done it and if you think there are any risks involved.

    I'm also curious about your installation experience, since I've read some things that make it sound really complicated to install, and then I've read other things that make it sound as easy as putting the php_ming.so file in the php extenstions folder and then adding these two lines to the php config file:
    extension=php_ming.dll
    extension=php_gd.dll

    I'm running
    WHM 9.9.8 cPanel 9.9.8-C159
    RedHat 7.3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    Thanks for any thoughts/advice!

    cPanel comes with a handy dandy little tool that is used to update your apache and php ( but you should know this already ).

    Run the following from SSH as root:
    /scripts/easyapache

    Select the advanced option and go through and select what you need, move off to the php menu and select ming, let that compile and your done.

    You can also use the "update apache" link in your WHM.
