A customer of mine is having some problems with email. Some messages get delayed by hours (in some cases up to a day) while others are never delivered (with no bounce/error messages). He's getting this problem both when sending and receiving, to/from a variety of other domains (e.g. yahoo, ebay).

I can't find any indication in the log files of what could be happening, and I haven't received any complaints from other customers (or even noticed any problems with my own accounts on the same server).

Has anyone seen a problem like this before?

Do they have a spf record? you may want to check its entry again. Also check their mx record. If they have the ability to modify it, they may have done so without your knowing.

Are you able to use those servers with timely delivery yourself?

    I'm having this exact problem...

Anyone have a clue what could be causing such delays?
I haven't been able to receive an email for 2 days.

I'll let you know if I discover what it is.

Thanks for the suggestions. There's no SPF record and the MX record is fine, and everything works as normal for me using when I test it. I'm pretty much out of ideas for this one.

mgdesign, by any chance are you on Comcast? My customer is, and I'd like to rule that out as a possible cause.
