I have a client who I discovered is running php under the user nobody. I went in to WHM (version 11.34.1 (build 7)) to see what options there were to fix this, and located the "Configure PHP and suEXEC" section. At the top is the following paragraph:

The word "documentation" links to the following page:

    Code:
    http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/ea/ea3/ea3php_php_requests.html
    which redirects to this page:

    Code:
    http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/EasyApache3/WebHome
    WebHome < EasyApache3 < TWiki

which states "Note: This topic does not exist". In the sidebar I see a section for "EasyApache and PHP", with multiple subsections under that, none of which exist either. In WHM I see an option to change the handler to suphp (suexec is checked, but the handler is set to dso), and I am fairly certain suphp is the one I want, but when I try and search the docs for suphp I get:

    Searched: suphp
    Number of topics: 0

Seeing as it is a production server, and the setting appears to be a server wide one, I would rather read up on it a bit to be sure I am not missing anything that I should be aware of before flipping the switch. If anyone can point me to the correct section in the docs it would be appreciated, thanks.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for letting us know about the links being out of date. The EasyApache documentation was updated and moved to here earlier this month. I thought we had updated all of the links, but obviously we missed a few. One of our technical writers is working on updating them and the changes should push out this evening.

I will also make sure that the redirect is updated so it takes our users to the new documentation.

Jenn, thanks. :) It looks like they did update the links. However, they have this link:

    Code:
    http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/ea/ea3/ea3php_php_requests.html
being redirected to the Easy Apache homepage here:

    Code:
    http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/EasyApache/WebHome
It should probably go straight to the relevant page that discusses the options for php handling, here:

    Code:
    http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/EasyApache/Php/RequestHandling
since that is what the old page was about, and that is where users are being directed to from the php handling page inside of whm. Just a suggestion.
