Hello,

Forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject, I am new here.

The files I uploaded via FTP for each of my domains on my virual private server with cpanel with godaddy have been either mysteriously deleted or moved, looking at the file manager for each user for each of my domains, there are no files in their respective root directories. I also cannot log in via the same FTP username/password with my editor for each. I have root user SSH access, but even inside with SSH the <root>/home/ directory is empty, except for a virtfs folder. What's more bizarre is that when I try to create a new FTP user for each of my domains, it states that it already exists, despite it not listing that it exists.

Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

The files I uploaded via FTP for each of my domains...
To be clear, you logged in as user1 to domain.com and uploaded and index.html (for example) and then you logged in as user2 to domain2.com and uploaded an index.html there too. And, the files are not showing up in your browser at domain.com/index.html nor domain2.com/index.html is that correct? I'm guessing no.

I also cannot log in via the same FTP username/password with my editor for each.
You'll need to login as the user to access the File Manager I believe.

I have root user SSH access, but even inside with SSH the <root>/home/ directory is empty
The directory is where user1, user2 directories, should be located. When you create new cPanel accounts, they are created in that directory, /home/.

What's more bizarre is that when I try to create a new FTP user for each of my domains, it states that it already exists
When you create new cPanel accounts, an FTP account is created for you. To use that FTP account, login as user1 with user1's password. Addomn FTP accounts that you create, you'll login as [email protected] (for example). In other words, the full addon username @ the domain.com is the login name for any addon FTP users you create.
