Hello,

ever since the new "release" version was released it seems that when new accounts are created via whm, only a domain.tld ServerAlias is created within httpd.conf for the site. I found the following in /scripts/wwwacct:

$AGS{'serveralias'} = ${domain};

since the ServerName is www.domain.tld, is the www.domain.tld ServerAlias necessary?

we also want to add a ServerAlias line for: username.servers.hostname.tld for clients to use before the domain resolve to our network.

what would the verbage be to add the www.domain.tld ServerAlias as well as our additional ServerAlias. any help would be greatly apprecated.

also, why this removed from the new script?

No, the new format works the same.

See the Apache documentation for a good example of how this works: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.html#serveralias

The additional ServerAlias for www.domain.tld would be redundant.

The new format is more consistent with the desired Apache configuration. Shouldn't result in any different functionality.
