I have a strange problem. I have a huge disk space usage where it shouldn't be. (List below is cleaned, but there are each different foldernames)
    Code:
    root@server2 [/var/lib/mysql]# du -m --max-depth=1

If I calculate each folder manually, I have only 1509MB Diskspace usage. But I says that this folder is 277'000MB big

This is a relatively new installed server. Its impossible to create so much space due cpanel restrictions. There are about 50 Accounts. All other folders are correctly.

Any Idea whats wrong. Just tell me if you need further informations.

    Thanks a lot.

Maybe the disk usage isn't in a subdirectory? "ls -lhS | head -10" to see the few biggest files in the directory.

Thanks for your helps. Unfortunately theres on another server that problem:

    Calculated there's about 2.9G.

THATS the point, i think. I didn't realize, that du does only calculate folders, but it seems so.

there is the bad big file :)

Thanks again for your help. I'll check this on my other server if there's the same problem
