Hi,
I am new to cpanel. I have gone through the easyapache (Software > Update Apache) route to install GD, mbstring ... and mod_security. I added some mod_security rules but I am now wondering about mod_evasive. I would like to add it but I am wary about manually adding it in case any future easyapache changes overwrite it.
Any advice?
thanks,
j

bump :(

Any advice on whether I can safely add directives to my httpd.conf file would be appreciated. If I add them manually will they be overwritten if I use easyapache again later? or should I be using one of the files in the includes directory?
thanks

Many cPanel/WHM customers use mod_evasive even though we do not support it. You may want to look for a guide for how to do this in a cPanel/WHM 11 environment.
