Hey Nick.... I love the new board man ..email notifications and all .I have seen it running on a box with mod_gzip and I have to tell you it is at least twice as fast with mod_gzip. Especially fo rus 56K ers' stuck in the woods. Just a suggestion :)

The gzip functions are improved even more in 1.0.0 Final. The important thing to remember though is, it does create more overhead, so if you have an extremely active board, keep the gzip level moderate.

We're using level 6 at the moment on community.iansoft.net. It makes a huge difference, but if the board is getting hit hard, it also taxes the server to quite an extent.

Ok ..I give up ..what happened to this thing last night. No g_zip but it seems very fast now. I mean major diff ..what's the deal? I mean I can really see a difference. Yesterday it would take 4 seconds for every page to load. Today ... 1 second at max ..same connection on my end.
