mod_python problems

    Build and install it yourself without cPanel's involvement. They don't really make any effort to keep up on anything that isn't PHP.

    I have only really gotten mod_python to install right with Apache 2.0.x, so downgrading Apache might help fix your issues. IIRC, there is a bug in apxs version that 2.2.x uses that does not play well with mod_python.

    Maybe give mod_WSGI a try, if your python app has WSGI support? Not only are you going to see performance increases from mod_WSGI, I have found it to install easier than mod_python with Apache 2.2.x.
