    Hi,
Has anyone had any luck installing mod_ruby?
Is it in the future cPanel pipeline as an available Apache rebuild option?

    Thanks!

I think you'd have the same problem as with php - it's executed as nobody. I believe it's fairly easy to install as a cgi, same as Perl - with suexec it would then run as the user....

    Ruby as cgi

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll do some investigating down that path; I remember seeing something about a cgi wrapper for it, but it wasn't clear at the time.

Do you currently have it running on a cPanel box?

    Thanks!

no, but I have seen that it is an RPM package in up2date. So I guess all you'd have to do is install the rpm and then modify httpd.conf (just copy the perl settings). It would than run like perl in cgi-bin. You could also get it to run outside cgi-bin ifyou wanted - I know this can be done with perl.
