When clicking on mod security in WHM I am seeing some very old log entries. When doing a search I can't seem to pull up anything more recent. How do I know mod_security is not somehow disabled? or is it just not logging right now?

If mod_security is enabled, it will say so in phpinfo()

Try setting up a phpinfo() page, or at command line, simply run

    Code:
    php -i
