I read about mod_xsendfile and apache module that's supposed to improve file handling and I'm wondering if it's possible to install this using easyapache.

It is possible to build Apache modules that are not included by default using EasyApache. The EasyApache documentation explains how to do this in detail:

The Apache Web Server and cPanel & WHM
    EasyApache Custom Modules

Additional modules that you add using this functionality are called "custom opt mods." Please let us know if you have any specific questions after reviewing this documentation.
